Privacy policy

Short, because there is little to disclose. This site is built so that what you type never leaves your device.

Summary

  • Everything you type into the calculator is processed in your browser. It is not sent to us or to anyone else.
  • There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking scripts.

The calculator

The gematria calculator is a small script that runs entirely on your device. When you type a word or phrase, the values are computed locally; no request is made to a server with your text. The results you see, the letter-by-letter breakdown and the “copy” and “share” functions work without transmitting anything.

The “Copy link” button builds a URL that contains your phrase as a ?q= parameter. That link exists only on your clipboard until you choose to share it. If you open such a link, the phrase in it is read by the page in your browser; it is not logged by us as a search.

Browser storage

To offer a “Recent” row of phrases you have calculated, the site saves up to six recent entries in your browser’s localStorage under the key ogc:recent. This data never leaves your browser and is not visible to us. You can remove it by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings. No other client-side storage is used, and nothing is stored if you never use the calculator.

Hosting and server logs

The site is a set of static files served by Cloudflare Pages from its global network. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical data needed to deliver a page and protect against abuse — your IP address, the URL requested, the time, and your browser’s user-agent string — under its own privacy policy. We do not add server-side logging, do not build profiles from these logs, and do not receive per-visitor logs from the host.

Cookies and trackers

This site sets no cookies of its own and includes no third-party advertising, analytics, social-media or embedded-content scripts. There is therefore no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to. If that ever changes — for example if privacy-respecting, aggregate-only analytics or advertising is introduced — this policy will be updated first and the change dated below.

Email

If you write to hello@onlinegematriacalculator.com, your address and message are used to answer you and, where you report an error, to fix it. They are not added to any mailing list or shared with anyone. Correspondence is kept only as long as needed to resolve the matter.

Pages link to outside sources — encyclopaedias, digitised texts, other calculators — so you can check our claims. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. Links marked as opening in a new tab are exactly that; no tracking parameters are added.

Children

The site is a general-audience reference tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Since nothing is collected through the calculator, no age gate is needed.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about visitors, there is normally nothing to access, correct or delete. If you have emailed us and would like that correspondence deleted, ask and it will be. Residents of the EU/EEA, the UK, California and other jurisdictions with data-protection laws have the rights those laws provide; the practical answer to any request is likely to be that we do not have the data in the first place.
